Robert Jain & The Do's And Don'ts Of Garage Sales

There's no denying the fact that garage sales are popular, not just in terms of how much space they make but the money made as well. The latter can be especially promising, as the likes of Robert Jain can attest. However, you have to understand that certain steps must be followed to get the most out of your own garage sale as possible. To better understand what this entails, here are a few do's & don'ts that you should be aware of.

DO find places for ads. Unless you advertise your garage sale ahead of time, you won't be able to see the activity you're looking for. While it's worthwhile to put up flyers in your town, this doesn't mean that your efforts should stop here. As a matter of fact, you can take advantage of online platforms, social media included, to give people a better understanding of what you're looking to sell. Without advertising, your garage sale won't go far.

DON'T leave items scattered all around. Organization is another way to help your garage sale further. Instead of keeping your items scattered, make sure that they are organized into different sections. For example, some items might be classified as clothing while others might be better placed under videos. Whatever the case may be, companies such as Robert Jain CS will tell you that organization goes quite a long way.

DO know the law. The reason why this must be said - and Bob Jain CS will probably tell you the same - has to do with the fact that certain states require permits for garage sales. What this means is that if you try to run a sale without a permit, depending on where you live, you might actually get fined. This is why you'd be wise to check your city's guidelines ahead of time. Needless to say, covering your bases is important.

DON'T come across as cheap. The worst thing that you can do, when it comes to garage sales, is become cheap. You do not want to make any mistakes when pricing items, especially if the prices themselves are seemingly high. One of the ways to work around this is by lowering said prices if need be. You might also want to think about giving away freebies for bigger purchases. These are just a few ways you can avoid becoming cheap at your garage sale.
